Hi there, kids
Poetry, animation, wall-paper
Animation (02.30 min)
Animation: a poem is read out by a virtual version of the artist. “Are we melting or are we crying?”.The poem touches upon the fragility of the human “filterless” skin. Our vulnerable bodies are not resilient to external threats like pollution and viruses. The robotic poem voice spurts out some slow confused speculation dreaming about a post-human virtual existence. Hoping that our virtual bodies in the digital realm are resilient enough. Will a virtual migration succeed us to thrive there? Wondering if we can reach intimacy and collaborate with all potential viruses, glitches and security threats living ‘out there’?
“Your world is not a funfair, baby. Your world is unfair. Your world is on fire!” —Excerpt from poem
